Sean Richards – Congasean - with more than 25 years drumming experience, has proven himself to be a strong influence in the Central Florida drumming community. Sean’s talent for the drum was apparent at a young age. He would bang on pots and pans, annoying his parents to no end. Receiving a starter drum kit at 4 forever cemented his love for the drum. A multi-skin drummer that spans many cultures, playing such instruments as congas, djembe, djuns, doumbek, shakers, clave, cowbell and woodblocks, Congasean has a unique playing style and approach to rhythm that is all his own. You will often find him performing with an original rock band, recording a new album, teaching group drum workshops and one-on-one classes, making drum stands or rebuilding and re-heading drums. He has participated, organized and facilitated countless drum circles, including large festival fire circles, for more than 20 years.
